Regional Squads

The Swimming Wellington Regional Squads have been created to help provide support to our national level swimmers who are looking to improve their swimming at a national and international level. We aim to foster a high-performance environment, led by a collaborative coaching team with a focus on developing world class skills.

The development of the Regional Squads is closely linked to the Swimming New Zealand Competition Review and other international swimming opportunities in the next decade (LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032). As a result, the regional squads and their criteria will continue to evolve to best suit the needs and goals of our top age group and open athletes.
